Electric Vehicle Ready Redmond Community Questionnaire

The City of Redmond needs your help! Your feedback will stay anonymous and help the City understand what residents and visitors need for electric vehicles (EVs), charging, and the opportunities to support them.  Feedback on this questionnaire will be used by city staff to guide efforts in transportation and sustainability planning.

Here are some interesting facts: 

• As of 2023, over 20% of vehicles in Redmond are electric. This is higher than King County (16%) and Washington state (9%). 

• Public charging stations help more people use electric vehicles. There are nearly 40 public charging stations in Redmond.  

• The City owns 15 electric vehicles and has six publicly available charging stations at multiple facilities.    

• Starting in 2035, all new passenger cars and trucks sold in Washington state will be electric. But, recent analysis from the National Renewable Energy Laboratory found 25% of residents don’t have a place to charge at home.
