11 Billion gallons of rain fall on Redmond each year.

Redmond’s stormwater system collects rainwater runoff and sends it to stormwater ponds and underground vaults, which hold and slowly release water into our lake, river, and streams.

The City is developing the Stormwater and Surface Water System Plan (SSWSP) to help prevent flooding, restore natural habitat, prevent pollution, and keep our lake, river, and streams healthy for everyone to enjoy.

City staff will work with the community through 2025 to develop the SSWSP and incorporate the community’s values and priorities. We want your help to shape Redmond’s stormwater and surface water future!

    Project Overview

The City is developing the Stormwater and Surface Water Systems Plan (SSWSP) to guide actions to reduce and prevent flooding, protect and restore natural habitat, keep pollutants away from fish and wildlife, protect our drinking water aquifer, and keep our lake, river, and streams healthy for everyone to enjoy.

This plan will serve the entire Redmond community. Your feedback on how we’re doing and what is important to you will help us improve our stormwater services and programs and shape the SSWSP’s priorities. Responses are anonymous.
