Teen Services

Since its adoption in 2020, the Environmental Sustainability Action Plan (ESAP) has guided city efforts to foster a more sustainable and thriving Redmond. We&rsquo;ve accomplished a lot together in that time &ndash; from the launch of the Energy Smart Eastside heat pump program and historic investments in clean transportation solutions, to the opening of the all-electric Redmond Senior and Community Center &ndash; it&rsquo;s been a <a href="https://www.redmond.gov/2182/2023-Environmental-Sustainability-Annual" target="_self">busy four years</a>! We&#39;ve seen firsthand the important role the ESAP plays in aligning City action with our climate and sustainability commitments. That&rsquo;s why, in the coming year, the City will be refreshing the ESAP to keep it relevant and actionable. With your help, we&rsquo;ll be creating an updated plan that integrates the latest science, technologies, and policies to help us progress toward our goals. <div class="OutlineElement Ltr SCXW8126611 BCX0">11 Billion gallons of rain fall on Redmond each year. </div><div class="OutlineElement Ltr SCXW8126611 BCX0">Redmond&rsquo;s stormwater system collects rainwater runoff and sends it to stormwater ponds and underground vaults, which hold and slowly release water into our lake, river, and streams. </div><div class="OutlineElement Ltr SCXW8126611 BCX0">The City is developing the Stormwater and Surface Water System Plan (SSWSP) to help prevent flooding, restore natural habitat, prevent pollution, and keep our lake, river, and streams healthy for everyone to enjoy. </div><div class="OutlineElement Ltr SCXW8126611 BCX0">City staff will work with the community through 2025 to develop the SSWSP and incorporate the community&rsquo;s values and priorities. We want your help to shape Redmond&rsquo;s stormwater and surface water future! </div>

Southeast Redmond Park is an undeveloped, 3.2-acre neighborhood park at the intersection of 188th Ave NE and NE 68th Street. Today, the master plan for the park has been created and approved by City Council the future park.City staff collaborated with the community and incorporated their ideas to create a park master plan.
