The City of Redmond is currently evaluating a proposed change to the payment due dates for utility taxes paid by telephone and cellular businesses. Under this proposal, businesses would submit quarterly or annual utility tax payments, depending on their gross income, instead of the current monthly filing requirement.

Businesses with a monthly gross income of $20,000 or less could file annually, while those earning more than $20,000 per month could file quarterly. The monthly filing option would remain available. This change would go into effect on January 1, 2026.

We are seeking your input on this proposal to better understand how it may impact your operations. Please consider taking this short, 5-minute questionnaire by 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, April 27, 2025, to provide feedback on the proposed change.
