Provide Comments on the 2025 Environmental Sustainability Action Plan
This year, the City of Redmond began updating the 2020 Environmental Sustainability Action Plan (ESAP) to guide our next five years of climate and sustainability work. The update builds on a lot of great efforts, including major accomplishments like Redmond 2050 code changes and the opening of light rail, while also ensuring our efforts keep us on track towards our climate goals for 2030 and 2050.
How We Got Here:
- Throughout the summer, we partnered with stakeholders, nonprofit organizations, and businesses to understand sustainability priorities, barriers, and opportunities. Review the community input summary.
- The Five Big Moves were published in August, outlining the framework for the 2025 ESAP.
- The community weighed in on proposed strategies and actions for the Five Big Moves in September. The draft strategies and actions, and community feedback was presented to City Council on Sept. 23.
