The City is updating the Transportation Master Plan, to align with the City’s vision for the future.

Transportation Master Plan Update

11 Billion gallons of rain fall on Redmond each year. Redmond’s stormwater system collects rainwater runoff and sends it to stormwater ponds and underground vaults, which hold and slowly release water into our lake, river, and streams.  The City is developing the Stormwater and Surface Water System Plan (SSWSP) to help prevent flooding, restore natural habitat, prevent pollution, and keep our lake, river, and streams healthy for everyone to enjoy. City staff will work with the community through 2025 to develop the SSWSP and incorporate the community’s values and priorities.  We want your help to shape Redmond’s stormwater and surface water future!

This project will extend NE 70th Street from Redmond Way east to 180th Avenue NE.

NE 70th Street Extension

Purpose: The pop-up dog park at <a href="https://www.redmond.gov/Facilities/Facility/Details/Luke-McRedmond-Landing-65" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Luke McRedmond Park </a>is in response to growing demand for dedicated, accessible spaces for pets (and their owners) to get exercise and socialize with others. With a growing population in our downtown, the City of Redmond is committed to providing special spaces that meet our urbanizing community&#39;s needs. This temporary space will allow the City to test different potential locations and needs for a more permanent off-leash dog area in the City.Background:During last year&rsquo;s budget process, dog parks were identified by the Redmond community as a high priority need. Redmond Parks and Recreation will open a temporary, off-leash dog area at Luke McRedmond Park by May 2023.Staff and the community evaluated potential sites in the Downtown for this first pop-up dog park. The Downtown neighborhood was seen as having the highest need in the City. Staff evaluated numerous sites in Downtown and asked for community feedback on the sites in Summer of 2022.Luke McRedmond Park was selected for its proximity to housing, parking, bus routes, and trails as well as it&#39;s large, unprogrammed lawn area.The off-leash area will be fenced, have a small and large dog area, and receive regular maintenance and trash pickup. Issues with the pop-up dog park can be reported using the <a href="https://redmondwa.qscend.com/311/">City&#39;s Q-Alert system</a>, and feedback on this and future off-leash areas can be provided in the <a href="https://www.letsconnectredmond.com/dogpark/survey_tools/pop-up-dog-park-questionaire">questionnaire below.</a>Timeline: Construction in April (now).
